Unit 2 - Physics (Radiation & Optics)
Learning Goal:
Concept 1: Differentiate between Matter (Particles) and Energy (Waves)
Concept 2: Find the location of Crests, Troughs and Resting Points on a wave.
Concept 3: Describe a Wave based on it's Amplitude, Wavelength and Frequency.
Concept 4: Describe how the primary colours of light add to make secondary colours of light.
Concept 5: Recall the relative Wavelengths and Frequencies of Electromagnetic Radiation for Radio Waves,
Concept 6: Measure the Angle of Incident/Reflection using a protractor.
Concept 7: Draw the Angle of Reflection when given the Angle of Incidence (and vice versa!)
Concept 8: Label a mirror as either Plane/Flat, Convex or Concave.
Concept 9: Connect applications to Concave and Convex Mirrors.
Concept 10: Describe how light rays interact with Plan/Flat, Convex and Concave Mirrors.
Concept 11: Describe how light both Bends/Refracts and Speeds Up/Down when traveling from one medium to another.
Concept 12: Label a lens as either Convex or Concave.
Concept 13: Describe how light rays interact with Convex and Concave Lens'.
